ISVCOSELL comes on the call

ISVCOSELL now joins your vendor call as a voice, answers from your own contract and benchmark record, and holds nothing back that you did not put in front of her.

The named problem: the five second gap

A vendor call is a real time event and your record is not. Your contract sits in a document store. Your benchmark position sits in a hub. The percentile you need to counter a renewal uplift is somewhere in both, and neither is open on the screen you are sharing. So when the rep says the increase is standard for your tier, you have three bad options. Guess a number, ask for time and lose momentum, or accept the framing and move on. Each option costs you money in a way that never shows up as a line item.

The copilot on screen closed part of that gap, but it asked you to read while you talked. Reading and talking compete for the same attention. What you want is to keep your eyes on the other side of the table and get the figure spoken to you, privately, in the moment you need it. That is what changed.

THE SAME JOB, TWICE

TODAY, BY HAND

Pull the current contract PDF and find the renewal clause and last agreed unit price

Open a spreadsheet and line the vendor quote against last year's numbers to compute the real uplift

Search the benchmark hub for your tier and read off the percentile you are sitting at

Draft a counter position in a doc so you have language ready before the call starts

Roughly 6 hours, spread across the two days before a single call

WITH ISVCOSELL

Open the call with ISVCOSELL on, screen shows the minutes you have left

Hold the space bar, muted in the meeting, and ask for the figure you need

Hear the answer in your ear with its source, while the rep keeps talking

Repeat the grounded number back into the meeting in your own words

About 10 minutes of your attention, live, with no prep session

What changes: 6 hours of pre call preparation becomes about 10 minutes inside the call itself. For a procurement lead running, for example, eight vendor calls a month, that is roughly 48 preparation hours a month that collapse into the calls where the work actually matters, which adds up to something close to a full working week returned every month.

PART TWO

How it works, and what it refuses to do

ISVCOSELL listens to the conversation. When you want her, you hold the space bar. You stay muted in the meeting, you ask your question, and she answers only in your ear. The other side hears nothing but you, when you choose to speak. This is the whole interaction model, and it is deliberately small.

The important part is what she says and what she will not say. ISVCOSELL has no figures of her own. Every number she speaks is looked up from your own contract and benchmark record at the moment you ask. When your record does not cover the question, she says she has no calibrated figure rather than reaching for one. This is the same discipline we wrote about in grounded AI, applied to a live voice where the temptation to fill silence is strongest. A confident wrong number spoken into a negotiation is worse than an honest no.

"A confident wrong number spoken into a live negotiation is worse than an honest I have no calibrated figure."

PART THREE

What she cannot be made to repeat

There is a class of information that must never leave your side of the table. Your walk away price. Your mandate. The point past which you have decided not to go. ISVCOSELL cannot reach those. They are not in anything she can query, so they cannot end up in something she says back to you where a hot mic or a slip could surface them. She works from your priced position, not from your secret floor. If you want the full structure of mandate, concessions, and landing zone, that lives in the war room, and it stays there.

This is a design choice, not an accident, and it belongs to the same list of guarantees in what we will not let the AI do. The tool that helps you counter should not be able to betray the one thing you most need kept.

Nothing is recorded. Audio is transcribed as it happens and discarded.

PART FOUR

The limits, stated plainly

Nothing is recorded. The audio is transcribed as it happens and discarded. The call closes itself after a minute of silence, so a forgotten window does not sit open listening. This means there is no transcript to review afterward. If you need a record of what was said, take your own notes. ISVCOSELL is a live instrument, not an archive.

There is a budget, and it is visible. Each account starts with fifty minutes. Each call can run ten minutes. The screen shows what is left before you begin, so you are never surprised mid sentence. Ten minutes is enough to cover the moments in a call where a grounded figure changes the outcome. It is not enough to leave her running through an hour of small talk, and it is not meant to be.

She is also only as good as your record. If your contracts are not decoded and your benchmarks are not loaded, she will honestly tell you she has no calibrated figure, and that answer is correct rather than useful. The work of getting your record ready still matters. Decoding your contracts first is what turns a silent no into a spoken number when you need it.

1 You stop bluffing. The five second gap is filled with a real figure from your own record, spoken quietly, or an honest admission that no figure exists. Both beat a guess.

2 Your eyes stay on the table. ISVCOSELL answers by voice, so you are not reading a screen while the rep watches your attention drift.

3 Your floor stays private. Your walk away and mandate are unreachable by anything she can query, so they cannot surface in what she says back.

4 Nothing lingers. No recording, live transcription discarded as it happens, and the call closes itself after a minute of silence.

5 The budget is honest. Fifty minutes per account to start, ten per call, and the remaining time shown before you begin. No hidden meter.

If you already run ISVCOSELL in the tools where your team talks, this is the same analyst moved into live audio. She answers in Slack and Teams when the conversation is written, and now she answers in your ear when the conversation is spoken. Same record, same refusal to invent, different room. The call is where the number gets tested out loud, and now you have a grounded voice in it.

Fredrik Filipsson, Cofounder, ISVCOSELL

Fredrik has spent more than twenty years in enterprise software, with time at Oracle, IBM, SAP, and Salesforce before moving to the buy side. He structured and priced the kind of large agreements most buyers only see once or twice in a career, which taught him where the leverage sits and how far a vendor will actually move. He started ISVCOSELL to hand that knowledge to every sourcing team.
